A firebrand journalist, director and thinker Chandrachud alias Chakravarthy has caught hold of JD Chakravarthy for his forthcoming Kannada cinema. It is ‘Raavani’ in which Pooja Gandhi plays lead role.

JD as he is affectionately known in Telugu films appeared in a multilingual ‘Contract’ cinema with Arjun Sarja in the pivotal role. He is back in this ‘Raavani’. JD is both hero and villain of the film. ‘Raavani’ has the caption ‘Lovegondu Laal slaam!

After ‘Janma’ debut direction Chakravarthy is taking up this film. In the process he has removed the name ‘Chandrachud’. He is just Chakravarthy.

As the birthday of Chakravarthy, director, writer and journalist is August 15, he is launching the title on that day. The film ‘Raavani’ is all about the system in our society. Although this is experimental there are many eye opening issues.
